Cystic Fibrosis: "Climb for a Cure"

OK, I realize this is more or less a last-minute appeal, but this is for a good cause:

I've just been recruited to participate in the 17th Annual Washington State Stair Climb for Cystic Fybrosis. If you're not familiar with this sort of thing, it's essentially a publicity stunt for charity. By signing up as a Stair Climb sponsor (at whatever level you can afford), you can contribute to a cure for C.F.--and, less importantly, support my "team," Stair Tactics!

Man, if I ever get that stair-climbing wheelchair I'm so doing this.

Much too broke to sponsor, but go you for doing it!

Thanks very much for the encouragement! And don't worry about the rest: I understand completely. I'm running myself because I'm too poor to contribute, at the moment.

But if you ever are in a wheelchair race, let me know: I'd love to sponsor you!

Wheelchair athletics seem to be for folks with spinal injuries almost exclusively, or for folks in unpowered wheelchairs at least. There's not much point in racing motors, at least not for an 'actual' race.

I may do the SF Bay to Breakers some day anyway, to encourage friends who'll be walking it.

I've been wondering if I could arrange a chronic fatigue stay-in-bed-a-thon! A run just seems so inappropriate. :)
