1) I am both the youngest of 6 and an only child. (My father's youngest, my mother's only child.)
2) My niece is almost the same age as I am.
3) Growing up, I used to talk every day with a guy who was born in the 19th century.
4) My family are kind of a mixture of "Hee-Haw" & "Telemundo."
5) I've never owned a car, probably never will, & I'm not sweating it.
6) My cat (one of them) is named "Puj."
7) Among relatives, I'm sometimes known as "Pokey."
8) I can carry on a serious & coherent discusison of 5th-century BC Greek culture, the equal protection clause, Saussurian linguistics, the Cohen Brothers, Pedro Almodovar, or "Homicide: Life on the Street," off the top of my head, at any time of day or night, drunk or sober; but
9) I have a laughably bad memory for the quotidian details of my own daily life (where are my keys? where did I put the phone? who paid for the check last time? what was I supposed to buy at the store? did I mail that letter? when was that deadline? how old am I, now?).
10)I co-authored a book which had a print run of about 75, which was actually better than expected ...
