Hellooo Internets
Nov. 17th, 2007 09:03 pmI nursed seven years of life out of my last laptop, so long that software updates had long since become unavailable and the hardware's performance had become decidedly wonky. Toward the end, the machine wouldn't even start, half the time. I more or less gave up on the old thing, during the summer, turning instead to stolen moments of free time and bandwidth at work, and to internet cafes. Neither situation exactly made me feel all that writerly.
Well, after some scrimping and saving, I finally bought myself a brand-new MacBook with all the bells and whistles: Mac OS X Leopard, Wi-Fi card, DVD-ROM/CD-RW drive, iTunes, iPhoto, etc.
So I'm savoring the pleasure of surfing wirelessly from home and looking forward to spending a lot more time with them intarwebs, while the rain it raineth every day, this winter.
Also, really looking forward to checking out this whole "YouTube" thing ...
