Be sure to raise a glass sometime today (if you may safely do so ...) to the 1933 ratification of the Twenty-first Amendment, which repealed Prohibition.

It's funny because I don't remember there being much of a mention of the anniversary of the amendment in the past. But here's to it, even though it came too late to stop the explosion of organized crime which came along with Prohibition, which is the reason I cite for why amendments banning behavior are not really a good idea.
