If anyone's interested, Cinerama is showing El Ultimo Sefaradi ("The Last Sephardic Jew") at Sunday @ 02:30 P.M. It's a Spanish film about the Sephardic diaspora (descendants of Jews expelled from Spain in 1492) and their language, "Ladino", which is a sort of mixture of 15th-century Spanish and Hebrew. (I've heard Spanish speakers compare it to the Spanish of Don Quijote. The first time that I heard someone speaking Ladino, I was studying Spanish, and was surprised to find that I understood them fairly well.)
