Funny ... I got a state I might actually like to live in:

It's not far wrong on the Spanish and the "long-lost language" (Wonder how they got the latter?) As for "spelunking and cliff dwelling," however, not if we're being literal ...

Anyway, as a country, I'm apparently Togo, and as a book, The Guns of August. (Mind you, I've always thought of myself as being more like Sri Lanka and Don Quixote ...)

I got Rhode Island, the United Nations, and To Kill a Mockingbird.

Well, that sort of works, too, doesn't it? Rhode Island is at least near the state where you've spent most of your adult life, right? And To Kill a Mockingbird is both true to your southern roots and progressive enough to distinguish you as a representative of that Southern liberal tradition (albeit in exile, like the Grimke sisters were ...). And the U.N. just emphasizes your worldly, cosmopolitan attitude, right ...? :)
