I'm sorry, but have we met? Reading your journal, I gather that you're a law student in Oregon--so not that far away. But I'm having a little remembering whether I know any law students, at the moment ...?

Maybe it's just early-onset Alzheimer's ... ;o)

Apologies--It's sort of like: "Saavedra, this is your life. Do you recognize this voice ...?" But I think that I know who you are, now.... (Didn't we meet again briefly for an M6T3K thing @ C & S's house, last year? It was an inordinately lovely summer day & I was a bit restless about spending the afternoon in that dark, cluttered livingroom ...)

Congratulations on going to law school, BTW. Sounds like a challenge, but really worthwhile.

I found you because your list of interests included Samantha Power. I was impressed: I don't meet a lot of other people who read serious nonfiction--let alone in Power's area of study. So I didn't want to pass up the chance to connect with someone who thinks & reads about these things.

Yeah, I feel a special affinity to Power because we went to the same college, and I saw her on Charlie Rose lately and she kicked ass. I look forward to reading your entries!

Oh, yes, I've been doing this for years. I wax and wane, but I never have considered quitting.

Duncan has a secret LJ that he doesn't use. I keep poking at him to start writing - he's such a good writer - but he just shrugs me off. He got the LJ so that he could read any friends-only entries that I post. But I keep hoping...

He's actually the one that pointed me at you. He kept saying that you had a journal here; that he had read about it in hippybngstockng's journal. Somehow I missed it until he sent me a link. :)
