Capitol Hill Shootings

saavedra77Early yesterday morning, some guy in his twenties shot up a party in my neighborhood, maybe a mile from my apartment and just a few blocks away from where a couple I know live. Seven people were killed, including the assailant (who ate his shotgun after police showed up).
In an apparently related story, police raided a North Seattle home Saturday night, where they arrested someone believed to be the shooter's brother, and confiscated a lot of weapons and ammo.
It's too early to say what larger significance, if any, this incident might have, but it's pretty chilling to find that it happened Right Here.

Date: 2006-03-27 12:30 am (UTC)I think that everyone I know is OK; my Capitol Hill friends are all a little (in a few cases, a lot ...) too old for raves, although I still have a few people to account for. At the very least, the couple I know who live a few blocks from the site are both OK.
