saavedra77My brother-in-law Gil just sent me a ton of recent (or, in one case, recently unearthed older) family pictures, some of which are so cute that I just had to share:
This is picture is the recently-unearthed one, it's of Gil and my sister Carmen when they were young marrieds, in the '70s.
Aren't they just unspeakably cool?
Still together, after all these years. This is them earlier this year, and with their granddaughter (and my great-niece) Alexis at the latter's sweet sixteen party:
This is my niece April--Alexis' mom--with her boyfriend Jim (of whom I by the way approve ... don't get me started on her exes ...):
The next picture is of Carmen's mother, Blanca, and her husband Luis, very much the cute old couple:
