Such a Freak ...

saavedra77RULES: Each player starts off with 10 weird things/habits about him/herself. People who get tagged need to write a blog of their own 10 weird habits/things as well as state this rule clearly. At the end, choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names.
I'm not tagging anyone, mind; feel free to share your own weirdness, if you like. :)
1. Many of you know this already, because I blather about it quite a bit, but one of my nieces is about the same age that I am.
2. I grew up having daily conversations with someone who was born in 1890.
3. I tend to sleep with the covers pulled over my head (partly to keep the cats from waking me up, partly because I'm a total wimp about the cold).
4. For some obscure reason, marching band music makes me furiously indignant.
5. I daydream about being teaching PoliSci. In Spain.
6. I have two noticeable scars, one of which has been described as "fetching."
7. I won't eat pork, but it's more for aesthetic than religious or health reasons.
8. I've actually experienced something like what you see in pivotal scene in the film Fight Club. And that's not really a good thing ...
9. During my starving student phase, I lived in a converted walk-in closet for several years.
10. I have a lot in common with the protagonist of Walker Percy's The Last Gentleman and The Second Coming.

jmargethe would point out my freakish distaste for coffee and beer; some might point out the preoccupations with things ancient Greek and medievally Spanish and Byzantine; wearing a ski mask indoors on cold days ... but you get the idea.
