Happy New Year from Seattle!

Edit, 12:08 PM, 01/01/08: To those of you in Seattle, today's P.I. reports on the apparent computer glitch that made this year's show so much less impressive than last year's event (2007 footage at above link).

Or in other words, the fireworks were purchased on a reservation, and exploded here. I was not hearing explosions that occurred on a nearby reservation.

And for the record, I like Native Americans very much. I just don't like loud car stereos or loud fireworks.

That's OK, I understood. I'm not a big fan of amateur fireworks displays, either--especially in my back yard.

(Ever spent the Fourth of July in Bremerton ...?! I did, once. It sounded like a war zone.)

Those Bremertonians are proud of their fireworks, aren't they? I was in nearby Port Orchard one year, and I got the gist of it.
