Sorry I lost sight of this and didn't reply for a while ... He was awesome! He was really down-to-earth and friendly. After we introduced ourselves to him and asked him to sign our books (like a couple of dorks) he sort of shyly struck up a conversation with us about the play. I really liked him!
Someone else I had a great impression of was James Earl Jones. He came to one of the shows and asked me where the "men's lavatory" was in his amazing voice. He was like 4 feet tall, but extremely polite and gracious.
Always a nice bonus to find that an artist you like is actually a decent person. :)
And JEJ is short?! You'd never know: it must be in his contract that they only film him with the camera looking up him! Kind of like Barbra Streisand always being filmed in soft light ...
