Hell, we're on TWO faultlines! (I experienced my very first earthquake, here, just a couple years ago. Scaaaaary. For about 30 seconds.)

Plus there is that big, fat volcano, constantly threatening to do what its sister St. Helens did, 25 years ago ...

But hell, I don't drive, so--statistically speaking--I'm taking fewer risks living here than someone who commutes every day in the safest corner of the country. (Someplace in New England, maybe ...?)
