But there are reservations in the region, and my neighbors are Native Americans, and their friend who showed up in the car with the bass that vibrates your house from across the street definitely could not have bought the loud, airborne fireworks they were setting off anywhere but on a res. I was not too pleased that they chose our culdesac as the site of their display. Beyond the close circle of multiple family homes lies the forest of Carkeek park. In drier weather they might've burned down the neighborhood. Mostly I was just mad that they were scaring my cats.
